A nature lovers dream; the South Shore of Iceland is one of the most diverse and breathtaking landscapes in the world. A lowland region of lush farmland, striking waterfalls, sandy coastline, glaciers and quaint towns and villages, it is also an area of historical significance.
Iceland’s spectacular and most famous waterfalls will be visited in the course of the day. The plummeting Seljalandsfoss waterfall is one of the most famous waterfalls of Iceland, and Skógafoss has often been poetically described as ‘a waterfall with a soul’.
Travel to Iceland’s southernmost village, Vík where you will see the spectacular natural rock formations on the black volcanic sand beach and feel the amazing power of a glacier as it glistens and sparkles in the sun. This is a truly fulfilling experience and a great way to spend a day in Iceland.

Same as start point.
You will be taken on a guided bus tour of the scenic south coast of Iceland, wealthy in history as well as natural attractions. (For language preference of the guide, please refer to the "Activity Schedule" section.)
The tour will visit the following places:
• Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss Waterfalls: The picturesque Seljalandsfoss waterfall is one of the most famous waterfalls of Iceland. It is 40 meters high and its main attraction, besides the scenery, is the fact that there is a pathway leading behind the waterfall and out the other side, giving visitors a chance to view the falls from within. The Skógafoss is one of the biggest and most beautiful waterfalls of the country with a width of 25 meters and a drop of 60 meters. Due to the amount of spray the waterfall consistently produces, a single or double rainbow is normally visible on sunny days.
• Sólheimajökull Glacier: (if road conditions allow) The Sólheimajökull glacier tongue extends down to the lowlands and is an impressive ice field of solid blue ice with crusty whitish surface.
• Vik village: Around lunchtime, you will stop at the village Vík, Iceland’s southernmost village, which is surrounded by beautiful and impressive high bird cliffs. The black volcanic sand beach south of Vík is ideal for viewing the spectacular rock formations Dyrhólaey and Reynisdrangar.
The tour returns to the starting point after approximately 10 hours.
Voucher Information: No need to print! You can show your voucher on your smartphone or other devices. (But if you’d rather print a copy – that’s fine too!). The visit to the Sólheimajökull Glacier is subject to road conditions.
Pick-up at hotels and guesthouses is 30 minutes before start time. Drop off after day tours may sometimes not be right in front of your hotel/guesthouse due to narrow streets and actual coach size used during the tour. Bus stop 6 is temporarily closed effective since 15 June. We advise you to use either bus stop 3 or 14 instead.
