On your way from the airport you may choose to head straight to Reykjavík and relax in the vibrant city. You may also choose to unwind in the azure lake and healing waters of the Blue Lagoon and enjoy clouds of steam from the hot, geothermal water rise into the sky in the winter cold. You will then spend your first night in Iceland at accommodation in Reykjavík.

    Day 2- The Golden Circle

Marvel at the wonders of the Golden Circle starting with Þingvellir National Park, a site located between the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates. You may choose to visit Silfra, a site filled with crystal clear glacial water which makes it a popular snorkelling and diving site. Head next to Geysir geothermal area where the impressive Strokkur geyser erupts every five to ten minutes, creating a water column that can reach heights of up to 40m! Then visit Gullfoss Waterfall, one of the most iconic falls in Iceland and watch the Hvítá glacier river cascade into an ancient gorge in two tiers with enormous power. If you are an animal lover, you can add on a horse riding tour during the booking process where you'll meet the friendly Icelandic horse and ride around the beautiful countryside. After this amazing trip, you'll return to the city to unwind and spend another night at your Reykjavík accommodation.

Day 3- South Iceland & Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon

Immerse yourself in the waterfalls, glaciers and coastal wonders of the South Coast and drive past the notorious Eyjafjallajökull volcano which erupted in 2010. The first site you will reach is Seljalandsfoss, a waterfall you can fully encircle for some wonderful views. Also visit the Gljúfrabúi, another beautiful waterfall which is not seen by many as it is hidden in a cleft in a mountain before heading to the famous Skógafoss waterfall renowned for its awe-inspiring power.

Next on the itinerary is a visit to the glacier Mýrdalsjökull where you explore the landscape atop an ice cap in two different ways. You can choose between a tour atop this great glacier or a visit to the nearby Sólheimajökull. If you elected to, during the booking process, you can embark on a glacier hike up Sólheimajökull where you can trek past blue crevasses and high peaks that are blackened by the ash from nearby volcanoes.
Journey along the South Coast and reach Reynisfjara black-sand beach and admire the geological wonders here such as the Dyrhólaey rock arch and the Reynisdrangar sea stacks. To finish off the day with even more spectacular nature, be sure to look up into the night sky for a chance to spot the elusive Northern Lights. You'll then spend the night either near Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon or Skaftafell Nature Reserve

Day 4- Blue Ice Cave in Vatnajokull National Park

Your first destination of the day will be Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon where you can marvel over icebergs breaking from a glacier and cruising towards the ocean. Watch as icebergs wash up and glisten in the surf on a nearby beach aptly called the Diamond Beach.

A true highlight of this day would be a visit to a natural ice cave in Vatnajökull which you can reach by a super jeep. You can reserve this experience when booking. Spend the night in the south-east. On your way back to the city, be also on the lookout for the Northern Lights. You'll never know when they are going to make an appearance. After an eventful trip, spend your last night in accommodations in the city centre. If you still have energy left, you can check out Reykjavík's vibrant nightlife.

Day 5- Reykjavik City and Departure

If time permits, explore the wonders of Reykjavík. Make the most of your proximity to the vibrant city centre, and discover the multitude of museums, cafés, galleries, restaurants, designer shops and bars. Voucher Information : Sorry, but we will need you to print a paper version of your booking voucher (we're working on changing this). AT this time no refund can be given for customers without a printed copy of their voucher.

The confirmation voucher includes the local activity operator's contact details. They're a nice bunch, and will happily answer any logistical questions you may have. Please give them a call at least 24 hours before your organised activity to reconfirm. Minimum age required to undertake this tour is 8 years.

For activities like ice caving, jeans are not recommended because denim, once wet, will spread moisture and take a long time to dry, leaving the wearer extremely cold!

We suggest, wear hiking shoes, outerwear suited to chilly and rainy weather. Don't forget to being camera, swimsuit, towel.

Due to increased demand for travel services in Iceland and low availability, travel companies in Iceland can not guarantee specific accommodations. However, we can always provide you with the best available accommodation at the time of your booking.

The Northern Lights are a natural phenomenon, and therefore cannot be guaranteed, but this itinerary is designed to maximise your chances to see them if weather allows.

It can happen, in the case of extreme weather, that an activity is cancelled. If your chosen activity is cancelled, we will assist you with rearranging or booking other activities when possible, and any potential price difference will be refunded to you.

Icelandic roads and pavements can be slippery in the wintertime. We recommend you bring shoes with slip-resistant soles or ice-grip shoe covers. The covers can be purchased in most supermarkets and gas stations around the country.
