Partake in an incredible boat trip around the biggest glacier in Europe and then hike on a glacier on this 2-day unforgettable Iceland tour. Enjoy the Jokulsarlon boat trip which takes you to the glacier lagoon in front of the biggest glacier in Europe located in the most amazing National park in Iceland. This is followed by a walk on blue ice in Solheimajokull. Your glacier guides are professionals and they will provide you all safety equipment needed for the Glacier Hike (crampons, ice axes, etc) and teach you how to use them in a correct way.

Good news! You can get picked up from your hotel or guesthouse in Reykjavik, just give us the details at the time of booking. Don’t worry if you have not booked your hotel yet, you can pass them onto the operator when you are ready.
Please note that certain parts of Reykjavik centre are restricted for buses and if your accommodation is within that area then your pick up will be from the nearest bus stop. In case your hotel is not in the list, we would notify you of your exact pick up location via email or you can simply call us.

Day 1: South coast, waterfalls and glacier hike
Your first stop will be at the famous Seljalandsfoss waterfall, which is located beneath the famous Eyjafjallajokull volcano which erupted back in 2010. Next up is the stunning Skogafoss waterfall with an unbelievable drop of 60 m (200ft)!
Drive under the great Eyjafjallajökull glacier volcano and the Mýrdalsjökull glacier cap, where we take a Glacier Hike for about 1,5 hours and have a closer look at the Solheimajokull glacier.Then it is on to Reynisfjara, a black sand beach nestling under Mt. Reynisfjall – seasonal home to numerous puffins that dive from its cliffs out to sea. We will be staying overnight in a Nicehostel Seljalands, a very cosy accommodation close to the famous Seljalandsfoss.
Day 2: The amazing Glacier lagoon with boat ride and Skaftafell national park
Take a close look at majestic glaciers and lagoons. After a stop in the lovely village of Vik, visit the waterfall Foss á Sidu and the National park in Skaftafell where you may stop for a lunch break.
Thereafter prepare your senses for a visit to the natural and stunning Blue Ice cave! Head to the Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon filled with huge chunks of ice that have cracked off Breiðamerkurjökull glacier and float slowly out to sea. From the glacier lagoon, explore the best of Icelandic highlands. After enjoying this wonderful experience we head back in the afternoon towards Reykjavik.

This tour typically returns to Reykjavik on Day 2 around 9:30pm.
If you are a single traveler then a Single Room Supplement of 7.500 ISK is mandatory.Please call the support team and pay for your upgrade.
Only small carry on luggage such as backpacks are possible. Please check with your hotel if they can store your luggage during the tour if you are staying again at the same hotel after the tour. Otherwise you can use luggage lockers that are located in the center Reykjavík. We can also offer you to store your luggage for free at NiceTravel office, located in Fiskislóð 45, Space M. To avoid any delays on departure luggage must be in storage before pick-up time.
Additional 1500 ISK needs to be paid separately for renting hiking shoes directly to our local partner.
We suggest that you bring your warm, wind & waterproof clothes, hiking shoes and camera.
Scheduled stops are provided so that you can buy lunch and dinner during the tour.
