Wasn't sure what to expect, but Grey Line are fantastic, collecting and dropping off on time every time, our guide (Halli, I think; an abbreviated name) was knowledgeable and helpful throughout provodong lots of interesting information on the lengthy drive, and the glacier walk was a proper adventure. Crampons, ice axe, and some real driving winds blowing ice around as we climber up onto the glacier and saw the genuinely amazing slightly blue ice formations. Expensive (as all things in Iceland are to Brits) but a great experience. Can highly recommend.
The Glacier hike was unreal and one the most beautiful things I’ve seen. Unfortunately I am not the healthiest of individuals therefore I found the hike incredibly difficult! The hike itself is extremely challenging therefore unless you lead a healthy and active lifestyle, you may struggle! The views however are out of this world and well worth it!
