You will be picked up from your hotel/guesthouse at 0830h (08:30am) and taken on a guided coach tour of Reykjavik’s famed Golden Circle.

The tour will visit the following places:

Gullfoss waterfall: This is the queen of Iceland's waterfalls, tumbling down a deep gorge.

Geysir hot spring area: You can walk around the world-famous Geysir area, a geothermal field where hot springs are in abundance, geysers explode and pools of mud bubble.

The Geysir Museum: This is a main feature of this area, an informative multimedia exhibition that vividly shows how the forces of nature shaped the country and the people.

Þingvellir National Park: This is the place of the most historic events in Iceland and exceptional beauty. Þingvellir is the original site of the oldest existing parliament in the world, the Alþingi. The Great Atlantic rift is clearly visible, a rift which is slowly pulling Iceland apart along tectonic plates.

The tour returns to the starting point after approximately 8 hours.

This was a fantastic trip - not to be missed. The sights covered in the whole day trip were truly spectacular. The guide on the bus was knowledgeable and provided an excellent commentary throughout. The tour operator was very punctual and it was great to be picked up right outside our apartment door. This trip packed a lot in but each activity was given an appropriate length of time.

great day. very busy. We saw so much and went so far. people on the bus were not really co operative and we got later at each stop. The guide was good at trying to get people back on the bus but they just did not listen. I think it should be either put as a 14 hour tour, and even begun earlier when possible for those who have booked a night tour ( we and several others had northern lights tours and while RE started their NL at 9:30 others incl ours started at8pm and we needed this tour to be no more than 30mins late. It was 90 mins late) RE did put on a special shuttle and our tour guide came back to our hotel to pick us up, but this should have been avoided) The day itself apart from people who could not keep on time was great. we saw Geysir, Gulfoss, Skogan Folk museum and had special attention from the wonderful 92 year old owner, Skatefoss and Skagafoss. lunch at Vik was ok, but they did not have sufficient people to serve us and as it was 3pm by the time we got served, we were very hungry. I do think maybe asking people to return 5 mins earlier than expected and maybe even cutting the big waterfall so we could still walk behind the other one would be a solution. Bad, but seeing it from a distance, and pointing out the reason it was canned to the rudeness of the constantly late people would assist. The other people inconvenienced were the people dropped off at the glacier and the super jeep experience,as they were not picked up early enough or taken to the facilities and one of the late people was a girl who had just not had the chance to hear the instrucions of where to go, and so had had to literally run down a mountian. Yet she was not the last to get back on the bus on that occasion and hse and others should have had a chance to see the museum at least from a distance if the driver had not had to be in such a hurry. It did not spoil the day but it certainly showed up one of the bad things about Big Tour.

This was a very organised tour with a very enthusiastic guide who was very informative and entertained us with stories on the journeys in between the sights. This is a large group tour so it might not be for everyone.

Miss Amanda Bruce

Pick up and drop off service at hotel as advertised and all on tim. Fantastic day that gave us the opportunity to visit a number of Icelands attractions in a relaxing manner. Just what was needed after a number of frantically filled days. Gulfoss and the geysers are spectacular!!!!
