You will be picked up by bus from your Reykjavik hotel to kick off this Golden Circle and Blue Lagoon Tour. You will be accompanied by a knowledgeable English-speaking guide.

Set off across the harshly beautiful Icelandic terrain to the Blue Lagoon, where you spend your morning awash in serenity.

The Blue Lagoon is a unique geothermal spa situated in the youngest lava field in west Iceland. Once there, you are treated to a few hours of perfect peace, walk through the enchanted lava fields that surrounds the lagoon, bathe in the steamy blue-green waters, relax in a geothermal steam bath or release the stress from your shoulders under a soothing waterfall.

Relaxed and refreshed, you re-board your bus and set out anew for the Golden Circle.

Your time at the Blue Lagoon is at leisure. We do not include the bathing fee in the tour price as many people choose to simply wander and take in the beauty of the area or have a meal at the restaurant. If you wish to bathe you may pay the fee locally.

Your first stop is the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Þingvellir National Park. It was here that the country’s first parliament was founded in 930 AD, making it the oldest known Parliament in the world. It is also a unique tectonic and volcanic environment where continental drift has engraved the landscape with cracks, faults, and fissures.

Drive to the world-renowned geothermal area around Geysir hot spring. Only a few feet away is the Stokkur Geyser, which hurls boiling water towards the sky every 5-10 minutes.

Continue to Gullfoss waterfall, where the wide Hvita River plunges furiously over a natural staircase of stones. When one first approaches the falls, the crevice is obscured from view, giving the appearance of a raging river that simply vanishes into the earth.

On your way back to Reykjavik pass by the village of Hveragerði, where geothermal energy has been harnessed to create unique greenhouse cultivation.

At the end of the tour you will be returned over a mountain heath to your Reykjavik hotel. See the list of Reykjavik hotels with pickup

I would recommend this tour to anyone. The guide was excellent, everything was organised which made the whole day very easy. The scenery is stunning and I thought the price was great value in the light of the miles we covered and what we saw. Thanks so much Isango and the tour company.

This was a fantastic day. Our guide was brilliant, so informative. We learnt so much not just about the places we visited but also about Iceland's culture. The Blue Lagoon was one of the most amazing places ever. The geography of Iceland is awesome. The organisation was faultless. Even the awful weather didn't seem to put anyone off. We had a fab day and would recommend this to anyone. Can't wait to come back.

This is a trip not to miss! Collection from the hotel was on time and our tour guide was very knowledgeable of the different places we visited. The blue lagoon was heaven and we can't wait to revisit it soon and the rest of the golden circle showed us some spectacular scenery - cameras were a must have! Being dropped back at the hotel tired but very happy. Plenty of time to shop at the various stops to get souvenirs or have refreshments.

The company and bus pick ups from hotels is extremely organised. The trip covered a large amount of things to see. The guide was really knowledgeable and clearly loved Iceland. My only criticism was she did talk constantly when a break would have been nice. My favourite part was the geysirs. We also did the Northern Lights trip too - would definately recommend this company

We had limited time in Iceland and left on our trip with two tours booked: The Northern Lights and The Golden Circle. Disappointingly, due to the weather conditions which was half expected, it was not possible to go on the Northern Lights trip, but on the other hand the Golden Circle more than made up for this. This was early March......and yes.....it was, with the cutting wind unbelievably cold! The clue is in the name of the country I guess. But to see Iceland as you imagine it with snow and ice was a real experience which neither my wife or I would have changed for a warmer month. Surprisingly, I can also say the same for the Blue Lagoon. More of an experience in those conditions also. Not to be missed! The trip was very well organized with a very informative guide. Although our guide would no doubt have done this trip many times she made it all sound very fresh and tailored to you. In fact, on our way back an extra stop was pushed in to show us a volcano crater which was not on the schedule but very memorable. Nothing else to say but....go on this trip if you have a chance whatever time of year!
