This tour comes in two options: ATV ride and the Blue Lagoon and ATV ride and the Blue Lagoon with airport transfer .

The tours are identical, except the latter comes with a transfer to Keflavik Airport at tour’s end.

ATV Ride and the Blue Lagoon:

You will be picked up in an air-conditioned coach from your hotel or guesthouse in Reykjavik. You will be accompanied by an English-speaking guide.

Drive out of the capital to the Reykjanes Peninsula , where the mid-Atlantic ridge rises from the ocean. More than half of the peninsula is covered with lava flows, some of which are only a few hundred years old.

Once there, you will be provided with an ATV (all-terrain vehicle), along with overalls, gloves and a helmet.

Set out on a 1-hour ride across this stirring Icelandic landscape, where you’ll see lava cones and craters of all shapes and sizes, which bespeak the mercurial volcanic activity of the area. Your rugged ATV is perfectly suited for this exacting landscape, and allows you to bump along without the slightest discomfort.

Close out your tour with a transfer to the reviving waters of the Blue Lagoon. The lagoon is a unique geothermal spa situated in the youngest lava field in west Iceland. Once there you are treated to an afternoon of perfect serenity walk through the enchanted lava fields that surround the lagoon, bathe in the steamy blue-green waters, relax in a geothermal steam bath or release the stress from your shoulders under a soothing waterfall.

Your time at the Blue Lagoon is at leisure. We do not include the bathing fee in the tour price as many people choose to simply wander and take in the beauty of the area or have a meal at the restaurant. If you wish to bathe you may pay the fee locally.

Four different departure times back to Reykjavik let you stay at the Blue Lagoon for as long as you please. Your tour ends where it began.

ATV Ride and the Blue Lagoon with Airport Transfer:

This tour mirrors the one above, but concludes with a drop-off at the Keflavik Airport in Reykjavik. Three different departure times from the Blue Lagoon provide maximum flexibility.

This is a must do in Iceland! The ATV tour has a different flavor and gives you a feeling of freedom and adventure. Issac, our tour guide for the ATV tour was a very helpful and knowledgeable local guide. Issac took us to the lava mountains for a 1 hours tour on the ATV. He kept a manageable distance between his and our ATV, and once we were comfortable driving the ATV, it was an amazing experience. If you have not ridden an ATV before in your life, you would be surprised how comfortably it concurs the steep volcanic mountains! Once we finished the 1 hour ride on the ATV we visited the Blue Lagoon. The dip in the soothing hot water after the tiring ATV tour was a perfect end to a an amazing experience. I can only say that this tour is the one you should not miss!!!

really great tour, staff were great - Issac, our guide was wonderful, we were lucky enough to go out on our own so it was like a private trip ;-) Wish we had gone out for longer, but we'll be visiting again next year as we had such an amazing trip, so will be booking with you again!! thanks so much for a great morning

The tour company pick you at and take you back to your accommodation. The tour takes you to the Blue Lagood where you are picked up by the ATV Adventure staff. The quad bike centre is a 5 minute drive away. The quads are for 2 people and you have to be physically fit to ride them as the terrain is quite hard going. Good fun, and the rest of the tour ride at the speed of the slowest person so no-one gets left behind. The Blue Lagoos is so relaxing and a must to do. Weird to be out in the cold, but lovely and warm in the lagoon. Showers and shower gels supplied and you can hire swim-wear, towels and robes.

This was a great tour we loved the ATV and the organiser was great then onto the Blue Lagoon you need to go here it was fantastic day we would do this again in a heartbeat.

We really enjoyed the ATV Adventure and Blue Lagoon package! Our guide was friendly, informative and punctual. The ATV tour was a lot of fun for both me and my girlfriend. The views from the hilltop are beautiful! All the required gear was provided and all at a price only a little more than the Blue Lagoon only package. Blue Lagoon was a totally unique experience. We enjoyed the 40 degree pale blue waters with snow falling on your heads! It was also my first time to use a sauna and steam room, which are free to access once inside. Not a bad word to say about it really - Highly recommended!

  • ATV stands for All-Terrain Vehicle, You need a valid drivers license to operate an ATV. Children and Youth can share an ATV with their parent or guardian, but are not allowed to operate the ATV.
  • For a drop-off at Keflavik airport please advise your onward flight details
  • Please call the activity operator at least 24 hours prior to start of the tour for reconfirming departure details
  • The fee to bathe at the Blue Lagoon is not included in the price. If you wish to bathe you will need to pay the following fees:
